A DARWIN man too busy to pick up his phone has found out he’s now a multi-millionaire.
The man scored the sole division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2540 on July 20 and will receive $20,000 a month for 20 years – in total $4.8m.
The man told an official from The Lott he’d been too busy at work to answer the life-changing call.
“I missed your (official) calls this morning because I was just finishing my shift,” he said.
“At the moment, I’m filled with disbelief. I’m a calm person and I don’t really overreact.
“I know it will sink in more once the money’s in my bank account.
“Funnily enough, my wife had a nice little win in a lottery many years ago.
“I’ve gotta tell you that the timing is brilliant.
“We’ve just finished some things on our house and I know this prize will come in handy. There’s lots to do around there.
“I think we might go out with family tonight to celebrate.

“There’s some significance around numbers. It was game 13 – you know what they say! Unlucky for some. This is certainly going to change our lives.”
The winning ticket was a 50-game Quickpick.
The winning numbers were 17, 25, 13, 8, 37, 10, 36 and the supplementaries 43 and 32.
The man bought the ticket online.
