“Definitely cheaper than buying poppers!”

One mum spurred the conversation by posting about ALDI’s Reusable Juice On The Go containers on Facebook.

“ALDI has these reusable juice boxes for $3.99,” the woman said.

“Previous years we have used a different brand, but for $3.99 I couldn't pass these up!”

“My kids love them because they can take different things like juice or flavoured milk, and they don't have to drink it all in one go. Definitely cheaper than buying poppers!”

The containers, by Joie, are a compact and easy way to store drinks on the go. They have a silicone seal to keep the lid securely in place, and a built-in straw that makes it so easy for little ones to sip from.

We spoke to our team of mums to get their thoughts - and it sounds like this product might be a huge win.

“To be honest I don't think my kid is allowed to take juice to school (it's aaaaaaaaaall about the water bottle) but if she was, I reckon this would be a clever way to do it!” said Emily.

“Also great for picnics etc. and saving on packaging!”

“I think they're so cute and a lot cheaper than getting poppers - those things aren't cheap anymore! Not for school, but for other outings, totally,” said Leah.

“I love how sustainable the concept is - as long as they're also safe plastic (BPA free etc). I'd just test it at home to ensure it doesn't leak!” Nama added.

The product is part of ALDI’s Back to School range, available in that beloved middle aisle from earlier this week.

Also included are lunch boxes from $6.99 and insulated lunch bags from $7.99, and a Premium Backpack with insulated cooler and 15’’ tech compartments for $14.99 or colourful Children’s Backpacks for $14.99.

ALDI is also selling affordable school shoes, with Premium Leather School Shoes ($24.99) available in Mary Jane, lace up or Velcro strap styles, as well as Children’s Joggers (from $10.99) which are perfect for playground sports.

From this Saturday, January 11, there will also be a Back to School Tech Essentials Special Buys range available, with Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 14" Laptops for $299, a 7” Kid’s Tablet for $89.99, and Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 64GB for $189.
