Hollywood actor Christian Bale dines out at Hot Tamale in Darwin

HOLLYWOOD superstar Christian Bale has made a surprise appearance in the Top End, with Facebook users left stunned at his visit to a prominent Darwin restaurant.

The A-list actor, best known for his murderous character in American Psycho and portrayal of Batman in The Dark Knight Trilogy, dined out at Hot Tamale at the Darwin Waterfront.

The restaurant took to social networking site Facebook to reveal Bale’s shock appearance in the Top End.

“Batman Approved,” Hot Tamale posted to its feed.

“Thank you for visiting Christian Bale!!”

Users were stunned by the news.

“Oh my goodness,” one wrote.

“Looks like a Darwinite, blending in nicely!”

Another wrote: “If only we had a bat signal, he could be our answer to all the crime! Darwin we missed out chance”.

One Facebook user made fun of the situation, posting Bale in his role as serial killer Patrick Bateman and saying he would “be staying in tonight”.

It isn’t Bale’s first appearance in Australia’s tropics.

The Cairns Post recently revealed the American superstar had been sighted in the Far North Queensland city.

Bale is in Australia for filming of the upcoming Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder.
