THREE alleged interstate members of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang have faced a Darwin court for drug offences after their convoy was stopped en route to Darwin on Thursday.
Nigel Woodard, 65, faced the Darwin Local Court on Friday charged with drug-driving, while 28-year-old Jake Haynes is charged with drug-driving, possession and failing to produce a licence and 26-year-old Monah Mike Aboudhen is charged with drug possession.
All three men successfully applied for adjournments while Woodard told judge Stephen Geary he intended to “plead not guilty” when the case returns to court.
An NT Police spokesman said a total of seven alleged Hells Angels were pulled over at Adelaide River along with their support vehicles in a joint operation with the Australian Federal Police’s National Anti-Gangs Squad and Border Force.
The charged men were granted police bail on Thursday and Mr Geary extended their bail until the trio returns to court on July 2.
