Restraining orders, allegations of fraud and massive credit card bills – Billy Ray Cyrus’ split from his young Aussie wife just turned ugly.

In a new court filing obtained by TMZ, the country crooner accused his estranged wife, Firerose, of charging $US96,986.05 ($AU146,815) on his credit card between May 23 and June 7.

The filing claimed Firerose spent the hefty amount via 37 unauthorised charges. She allegedly used his business American Express card, which he argued she was never approved to handle.

The Achy Breaky Heart singer, 62, asked a judge to grant an emergency restraining order to prevent his ex from using the card and others. He also requested that she be ordered to pay him every cent back.

Firerose, however, argued in her own court filing obtained by TMZ that she’s had access to several of his cards since they moved in together in 2022 and that she never had to abide by any limit. She also said she should be able to use their martial money while they’re still legally wed to support her established lifestyle.

Furthermore, her filing claimed that $US45,000 ($AU68,119) of the money Cyrus wants back was mistakenly charged by the law firm representing her and has already been refunded.

Page Six reached out to reps for both Cyrus and Firerose for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Cyrus’ filing comes days after news broke that he filed for divorce from Firerose in late May after less than a year of marriage.

He cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for their separation. He also asked for annulment on the grounds of fraud.

It’s unclear if Firerose’s nearly $US100,000 ($AU151,377) of purchases are what he considers “inappropriate marital conduct.”

The pair tied the knot in October 2023, just under a year after getting engaged.

They seemed madly in love, describing their nuptials as “the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love” in a joint post on Instagram.

In April, the Australian singer seemed happier than ever as she celebrated six months of marriage to Cyrus.

“6 months ago I married this man. Life isn’t always easy … but it sure helps when your husband’s also your best friend. Thank you Lord!,” she captioned snapshots from their wedding day.

Their pending divorce is Cyrus’ second recent split, as he and Tish Cyrus called it quits for the third and final time in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage.

Tish has also moved on, marrying Aussie Prison Break star Dominic Purcell in August 2023 with her famous daughter, Miley, serving as her maid of honour.

Miley was not present at Billy and Firerose’s ceremony, as their relationship is reportedly fractured.
