Hidden message in Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment outfit

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has made a subtle statement by wearing the same outfit to the second impeachment of US President Donald Trump.
Ms Pelosi, who led the calls to impeach the President after the deadly uprising last week, wore the same black skirt and jacket combination when the party impeached US President Donald Trump last year.
Ms Pelosi’s office confirmed she’d worn the same outfit to The Hill on Wednesday, as Mr Trump became the first President in US history to be impeached twice.
Ten of his Republican colleagues turned on him, agreeing Mr Trump incited the deadly riot on the Capitol, including Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Ms Pelosi, the top Democrat in the US Congress, didn’t wear the same eye-catching gold brooch she wore at the first impeachment – a handmade piece inspired by the Mace of the House of Representatives, one of the oldest symbols of the US government.
On Wednesday morning Ms Pelosi spoke, calling Mr Trump a “clear and present danger” to the US, appealing to politicians before the vote to impeach.

She said passing the impeachment would “ensure that the republic will be safe from this man who was so resolutely determined to tear down the things that we hold dear and that hold us together”.
Ms Pelosi also referred to the mob that stormed to Capitol last week “domestic terrorists”, adding they were “not patriots”.
“Those insurrectionists were not patriots,” she said. They were not part of a political base to be catered to and managed.
“They were domestic terrorists. And justice must prevail.”
