Phoebe Loomes

Phoebe got her start in publishing as a teenager, writing music and CD reviews for local Sydney street press. Her signature style was that she “loved” everything. Phoebe studied Arts at the University of Sydney majoring in English and Gender and Cultural theory. She then went on to a career in reality television, where over five years she worked her way up from post production to working in casting and production on some of Australia’s biggest reality shows. Phoebe worked on big titles, including UK’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette Australia, The Biggest Loser, Married At First Sight, Masterchef, Australia’s Got Talent, Gogglebox, and Australia’s Next Top Model. Phoebe also worked as a freelance journalist and was published in The Guardian, The Saturday Telegraph, Mamamia, Junkee.com, SBS, XOJane.com (USA) and appeared on podcasts including with the ABC. Phoebe left reality TV to work at publishing startup Brag Media, where she was hired as a content creator. She joined news.com.au as a journalist in 2018.
