A woman has been hospitalised after she was allegedly attacked with a knife at a fast food outlet in Sydney’s west.

The 36-year-old woman suffered stab wounds to both her hands at a McDonald’s restaurant on the Great Western Highway at Minchinbury, with emergency services called to the scene about 12.30am Sunday.

She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

“A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” an NSW Police spokesperson said.

Police have asked anyone with dashcam footage or information regarding the incident to come forward to assist investigators.
