Woman fired after telling German tourists on train to ‘get out’ of US
A woman who was filmed in an astonishing rant at German tourists while on a train has now been fired from her job.
A New Jersey woman was fired after berating a group of German tourists on a New York City-bound train before telling them to “get the f**k out of our country,” according to a video shared on Reddit.
Brianna Pinnix, a 30-year-old talent acquisition specialist at Capital Rx, approached a group of male tourists on what appears to be a New Jersey Transit train, according to the Daily Mail, which first reported the incident.
The blonde woman is a 2015 Marymount Manhattan College graduate working at the World Trade Center-based pharmacy benefit manager, according to her Facebook account.
Pinnix has since been fired from Capital Rx, a company spokesman confirmed to the New York Post on Wednesday night.
“Our company has a zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behaviour. “After conducting a review of the circumstances, we acted immediately and terminated the employee in question,” the spokesman said in a statement.
“The former employee’s actions and words are not representative of Capital Rx, and we offer our sincerest apology to those who were hurt.”
Other social media accounts — as well as her LinkedIn profile — linked to her name have been wiped since the embarrassing and xenophobic video of her surfaced.
Pinnix can be heard in the footage asking the men if they were German before aggressively demanding: “What did you say, tell me what you said.”
Her boyfriend politely tries to remove her from the situation, at one point holding onto her wrists as she leans into one man’s face.
“Brie, Brie, do not do this, do not this, you’re going to get arrested,” he pleaded.
“I can handle my own,” she insisted.
“Brie, please stop this please. Stop this, or I’m never going to talk to you again,” her boyfriend warned.
“I love you, but get off me,” she told him.
She asks the tourists to repeat what they said numerous times, but they ignore her. At one point, the man whose face Pinnix kept getting into stood up and said something unintelligible before he sat back down, shaking his head.
Her boyfriend bends down and the two are seen talking before she loudly says, “Everyone is f**king laughing about it now.”
She can then be heard telling her significant other to say something or “I’m going to.”
A man sitting behind Pinnix can be heard saying, “Hit them with a right hook,” which causes her to jump up and exclaim, “Thank you!”
“Hit me with a right hook. Let me see what you got. Pretend it’s his face,” he egged her on.
Pinnix then lightly strikes the man, who says, “Ohhh” before sitting back down.
Her boyfriend laughs and he tries to restrain Pinnix as she attempts to rush over to the tourists again.
“How about you get the f**k out of our country,” she shouts.
“Do not!” her boyfriend loudly chides as several other passengers can be heard saying, “Whoa.”
“That’s harsh,” one woman said.
Pinnix’s boyfriend nervously looks at the unknown cameraman before telling her, “It’s OK.”
“Babe, it’s not OK. It’s not OK. I love you but …” Pinnix said before the recording cut out.
Pinnix did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
“She’s drunk out of her skull and her nasty true character is now out there for all to see. The guy should ditch her toxic backside asap,” one Redditor wrote.
Many others agreed the woman’s boyfriend should leave her.
“Dude needs to find a new gf one that brings him peace cause this ain’t it. For his own safety probably should record the break-up,” one wrote.
“’You know I’m an immigrant, too.’ That’s so f**king sad. I hope he uses this chance to get out of a relationship with this … winner,” another wrote, before wondering, “How long before the ‘This isn’t who I am’ non-apology video?
New Jersey Transit told the Daily Mail that it was looking into the incident, but could not verify if it happened on one of its trains.
