A woman treated stunned commuters to a bizarre performance on a packed Sydney train before abruptly standing up and hopping off at a platform in the city’s west.

In a video posted to Reddit the woman can be seen squatting on her seat and dancing around the carriage with headphones on.

For the almost two-minute video she can be seen jumping on and around her seat, and repeatedly turning back to the people behind her, waving her arms, and leaning over her chair at them.

“Only in Mt Druitt,” the video was captioned.

The woman can be heard calling the people behind her “NPC’s” or non-player characters, an internet meme that refers to people who do not think for themselves or make their own decisions.

“NPC’s have nice outfits don’t they?” she said to the people around her, before continuing to dance.

She then starts shouting the lyrics to 2010 song ‘Like a G6’ by Far East Movement and The Cataracs, drawing more laughter from the carriage.

“You little NPC’s look nice in your work outfits,” she says, leaning over the chair to the people behind her, before abruptly collecting her things and leaving the train.

While one passenger on the train can be heard remarking “what a f***ing weird” incident, Redditors said it “isn’t even the worst thing” they’ve seen on a commute “on a good day”.

“Cringey but not the worst I have seen on our Sydney trains,” one wrote.

“It’s positive at least,” another replied. “She’s clearly having a good time and not too loud.

Some shared stories of the odd things and performances they have seen on public transport, including one man who “started rapping the whole Gangsters Paradise song”.

“He was surprisingly really good. Word for word didn’t mess it up once. A few people started clapping. He got up and went to the next carriage,” they wrote, adding that the man wasn’t performing, just “rapping to the ground”.

“You often see bad, but once in a lifetime you see good.”

Although some believed the woman was attempting to flirt with the men behind her, others said NPC’s is definitely not intended positively – “yeah that’s not flirting … she’s dissing them”.

But one user said at least this G6 performer respected the golden rule of public transport, saying it was “very respectful of her to wear headphones.”
