A woman, 22, chillingly posted a selfie video with a caption bidding farewell moments before the plane she was flying in crashed to the ground.
A beautician from Turkey has posted a chilling video, moments before the small plane she was flying in crashed to the ground, killing her and the pilot.
Burcu Saglam, 22, and pilot Hakan Koksal, the 54-year-old president of the Yunuseli Sports Aviation Association, had taken off from Pamukova, Turkey, around 180km southeast of Istanbul, on Thursday afternoon on the ill-fated trip, according to Central European News.
Ms Saglam was all smiles as she posted footage and pictures of herself from the cockpit on Instagram with the caption, “Byee,” New York Post reports.
But then horror hit. The single-engine jet they were travelling in accidentally clipped an overhead power line and plunged to the ground near the Ovaakca Natural Gas Cycle Power Plant in Osmangazi after losing communication about 20 minutes after takeoff.
One of the passengers died when the plane caught on fire from the impact, and the other fell from the aircraft to their death, local officials said.
The impact was caught in dramatic footage and wreckage of the aircraft was found in a car park near the power plant.
