A crime scene has been established and investigations into the incident have commenced.

This comes only four days after a man died in a quad bike crash in central Victoria.

The 34-year-old died after a quad bike crashed on McLennan Road, Ladys Pass in the early hours of Tuesday April 11.

In Alice Springs a 27-year-old man died on Friday April 7 after his quad bike collided with a motorbike on a track near Maryvale Rd.

Quad bike safety has been an area of focus for the ACCC which lobbied for tougher standards in 2018 as record levels of all-terrain vehicle-related deaths in Australia peaked.

New safety regulations were introduced in 2019 in a bid to reduce quad bike-related injuries and fatalities.

In 2022 it was found more than 90 per cent of all new quad bikes sold in Australia had complied with the national safety standard.
