Missing surfer’s chilling last message before vanishing
Social media has provided an insight into the movements of two Perth brothers just hours before they vanished while on a surfing trip in Mexico.
New social media posts from one of the Perth brothers missing in Mexico have been uncovered, showing the beach where the pair were reportedly last seen.
Unearthed social media posts give insight into the final hours before Perth brothers Callum, 33, and Jake Robinson, 30, went missing in Mexico.
Instagram stories from Callum Robinson accounts showed highlights from the group’s trip across the country, revealing the beach where he and his brother were last seen on a surf trip.
The pair, alongside US citizen Jack Rhoad, 30, went missing near the Rosarito and Ensenada region of Baja California on Saturday morning.
The Perth men’s mother Debra Robinson said she had not heard from her sons since Saturday in a public appeal for help on Thursday.
Authorities are especially concerned for Callum, given he is a type one diabetic.
Mexican authorities found a burnt-out white ute, believed to belong to one of the brothers, as well as three abandoned tents south of the Ensenada region.
Local media reported that blood was found in the tents.
Three arrests have been made in Mexico, including a woman carrying one of the brothers’ phones, as well as drugs.
On Saturday it was revealed three bodies had been found in the area where the surfers were last seen.
The remains have not been formally identified.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed they were assisting the Robinson family.
Lacrosse Australia issued a statement on social media expressing its concern over the whereabouts of Jake, Callum and Jack.
