Shock moment hotel staffer performs gross act on guest’s undies

A woman was left in shock after she setup a camera in her hotel room only to allegedly bust a hotel receptionist engaging in a “creepy” act.

A hotel guest claims a receptionist snuck into her room and sniffed her underwear after she set up a secret camera to catch him.

Rara Armstrong, from the UK, was on a family holiday in Benidorm, Spain when the incident occurred in her room.

Ms Armstrong claims the hotel receptionist had asked for her number to take her for a coffee, which she refused.

The man allegedly dropped a bottle of prosecco in her room “to apologise”. Before her and her 11-month-old son went to dinner, she decided to set up the camera on his iPad in case the male staffer returned to her room.

What happened next left her feeling “creeped out” and violated”.

In footage obtained from the iPad, the man could be seen entering the mum’s room and walking around before rummaging through her clothes in what she claimed to be a dirty laundry bag.

“It made me feel horrible, I felt so violated. I was there with my son and this man was meant to be [a member of] staff,” Ms Armstrong said about the alleged incident in May.

“It was crazy. I wasn’t expecting something like that.’

Ms Armstrong said the man initially asked to take her out to coffee when she went to reception on her first day to ask about her room key not working.

After the mother-of-one rejected him, he allegedly asked for her number instead.

“I felt a little bit creeped out by that and I was like, ‘I’ve just got here, this is the last thing I need’,” she said.

“But I didn’t make a complaint because I didn’t want to ruin the holiday from the minute we first got there.”

Ms Armstrong claims a few hours later he’d subscribed to her OnlyFans account, suspecting he used the details from her hotel booking to look her up.

“He was messaging me and saying ‘oh I can’t believe you’re in Spain’. At first I didn’t click that it was him.

“I was like ’oh have you seen me at the airport or somewhere?’ and he said ‘yeah, you’re in the hotel where I work’ and I thought ‘oh my god’. He was [looking me up] online.”

She told him it made her feel uncomfortable and “it’s really unprofessional” and he allegedly responded ‘oh I’m so sorry, please don’t tell anyone’.”

Despite alarm bells ringing she didn’t make a formal complaint as she didn’t want to ruin the first day of the holiday for her son.

On the final night she discovered the bottle of prosecco in her room and that’s when she set up the camera on her son’s iPad.

Only 15 minutes into the night, footage caught a man sneaking into the room.

Disturbing video shows the staff member in a shirt and trousers entering and appearing to go through the mum’s possessions off camera.

She said as it was the final day most of her dirty clothes were bagged up and ready to leave the next day.

As the footage continues, the unnamed man can be seen holding a pair of black knickers in his hand before bringing it up to his face several times.

The receptionist keeps on rummaging through bags and even goes inside what looks to be the bathroom during his almost two minute search of Ms Armstrong’s room.

He then stuffs the underwear into his pocket before sheepishly sneaking out of the room.

“He basically comes in and he starts going through my stuff. He goes off camera and there’s a rustling,” she said.

“He went through my laundry bag and got a thong that I’d worn and started sniffing them.

“He carries on snooping, I don’t know what he was looking for.

“As he leaves, he puts them in his back pocket. It was crazy. I wasn’t expecting something like that.”

The concerned parent said she reported the man using the footage once she got home to the UK and LoveHolidays, who she booked the trip through, apologised.

They also told her the hotel fired the man immediately the next morning.

However, they say they can’t refund the trip or offer any compensation to Ms Armstrong as she didn’t report the incident to them or police before leaving Benidorm.

Ms Armstrong claims she was forced to wait until her flight landed as she only checked the footage on the day she was due to fly home.

Concerned that reporting it would take some time, the mum decided to wait so she didn’t miss the flight home.

She now hopes to warn other women that in order to clamp down on “creeps” on holiday they should immediately report any concerns.

She also advised more women to set up cameras if they suspect something is wrong.

“The hotel are saying they told me to call the police and I refused, which is a complete lie,” she said.

“They basically told me not to show the video to anyone. It’s been a real nightmare getting any sort of justice from it.

“My advice to others would just be to be really vigilant. If someone is being creepy towards you, report them straight away.

“And maybe record your room, that seems to be a good thing to do so then you have evidence and the hotel can’t deny that it’s happened.”

A LoveHolidays spokesperson explained they were unable to offer any compensation due to no police report being made.

The spokesperson said: “We are very sorry to hear of Ms Armstrong’s experience while on holiday.

“Unfortunately we were not made aware of the incident while she was on holiday, so we were unable to provide her with support or advice on making a police report during her stay.

“We have fully investigated the issue with the hotel and are confident the appropriate action has been taken to ensure this does not happen again.”
