A scuba diver has died after he was pulled from the water unconscious at a popular dive spot on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

A scuba diver has died after he was pulled from the water unconscious at a popular dive spot on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

Emergency services were called after a the man was pulled from the water by fellow scuba divers at Rye Pier at about 10am on Saturday.

It’s understood the man was found unconscious in the water by the other scuba divers.

He was pulled onto the pier where onlookers commenced CPR.

Emergency services continued CPR but the man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
