Police have rushed to the scene of an “aviation incident” after an unknown plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
Police are investigating an “aviation incident” after an unknown aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Queensland’s Southern Downs.
Officers were called to The Head, southwest of Brisbane, about 9.30am on Tuesday following reports of an aviation-related incident.
In a statement, police said initial information suggested the aircraft made an emergency landing at a remote property near Killarney after placing a mayday call.
There have been no reports of any injuries and police investigations are continuing.
