Astonishing photos have emerged showing the moment a fishing boat capsized off the coast of Scotland, sending the crew fleeing for safety in a lifeboat.
Ocean Maid BA55 capsized around 5.50am local time on Monday off the coast of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, the Fraserburgh Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) said.
RNLI then responded to a distress call by the four-person crew, who quickly abandoned the ship for a lifeboat, the New York Post reports.
After being picked up, one crew member was transferred to the hospital, while the other three were deemed fine by the Scottish Ambulance Service, according to STV News.
“The boat went aground at a notorious black spot which has seen many ships wrecked over the years,” RNLI wrote on Facebook.
The update also shared several gloomy photos of the wreck, just metres from another wreck – the Sovereign BF380, which partially sank in 2005.
