Man gets life ban from flying after shocking pro-Trump rant on plane
THIS is the pro-Trump rant that got this passenger a ban from flying for life — and a refund for everyone else on board.
A PASSENGER who went on a pro-Donald Trump rant on a flight and insulted people who didn’t vote for the US President-elect has received a life ban from flying.
A video uploaded to Facebook of the man’s shocking tirade on the Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta, Georgia to Allenton, Pennsylvania shows him standing in the aisle and yelling insults to supporters of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
“We got some Hillary bitches on here?” the man yelled before clapping and calling out Mr Trump’s name.
As other passengers did their best to ignore the commotion, the man shouted in relation to Mr Trump’s victory: “If you don’t like it, too bad.”
The man was not removed from the flight, for which Delta Air Lines issued a public apology.
In a memo to staff, the airline’s chief executive Edward Bastian said the crew questioned the man and “made the best decision they could given the information they had” and allowed him to remain on the flight.
“However, if our colleagues had witnessed first hand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft,” he added.
“This individual displayed behaviour that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers. He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane.”
Bastian also announced Delta would refund tickets for passengers who were on-board the flight.
In a statement, Delta said: “The behaviour we see in this video does not square with our training or culture and follow up will continue so we can better ensure our employees will know they will be fully supported to make the right decisions when these issues arise.”
