Man divides opinion for ‘no-nonsense’ reaction to passenger removing shoes during flight
A passenger has divided the internet over his response to a fellow traveller putting his bare feet on his seat – so do you think he was in the wrong?
A passenger has been praised for his response to a fellow traveller putting his bare feet on his seat.
Mr Walker, who runs the TikTok account The Walker Twins, asked “what to do in this situation” after the passenger behind him had his feet on his arm rest.
He then wrote he “had to do something” before pouring a bottle of water onto the man’s bare feet.
The passenger quickly pulls their foot away, although the video cuts before his reaction.
The video has since been watched nearly four million times, with TikTok users praising his reaction.
One person wrote: “You did the right thing!”
Another person commented: “Right on. I’m so tired of people and their lack of respect for others.”
Others offered their own suggestions of how to deal with them, from tickling them or sneezing on them to “intertwining your fingers with their toes”.
However, others felt he overreacted, with one person saying he should have just asked them to move their feet.
Another person wrote: “Say something. Be direct but kind.”
Last month, a woman went viral after she shared a Tik Tok video of an older man allegedly groping her aboard a Spirit Airlines flight – and the teen claims no one intervened.
“The man was like 50-60s and I was so uncomfy @spiritairlines #fyp#foryou #harassmentawareness,” read the video’s caption, which was posted to TikTok.
“On my flight to California the man behind kept touching my arms and boobs,” the video started.
The video shows the woman sitting in the window seat leaning back when she moves to show the man’s hand grasping for air between the seat gap.
Posted on Wednesday night by the user @mobilesushibar, the woman claims she showed the video to Spirit flight attendants and those in her proximity, only to be ignored.
“And when I confronted him and showed the video to everyone around me and the flight attendants I was told to sit down and stay quiet,” the video narrated.
The poster got plenty of supportive messages following the video, with people urging she file a lawsuit against Spirit.
