Man allegedly kicked off flight over bag space

A video has gone viral of a passenger constantly complaining about there being too many bags in “his” overhead bin on an American Airlines flight.

In footage captured by a fellow passenger and shared to Reddit, the man, wearing a yellow T-shirt, could be seen ranting about the lack of space in his overhead locker.

“This guy put his luggage up here, now we don’t have any space,” the fuming passenger is heard telling a flyer sitting across from him as people board the aircraft.

“Now there’s no space,” the man demands. “He’s got no space.”

A flight attendant, who was walking past the man, insisted he “please stop”.

“I am going to ask you one more time, if you continue … please stop,” the crew member tells him.

“Don’t point at me, don’t point your finger at me. You point your finger at me one more time I am going to call the police,” the man responds.

“I am telling you to please stop … I am not pointing no fingers, I am just saying to you please stop. You need to stop with this whole luggage situation,” the flight attendant calmly says.

“You’re going to call the police on me? OK,” the staffer then asks, before carrying on with boarding.

The clip then jumps to footage of the man being escorted off the plane by a different airline employee in an orange vest.

The person who uploaded the video claimed the man made racist remarks to the passenger who put their luggage in “his” overhead bin.

“I left out the horrendous racist comments he made to the gentleman who put his luggage in the overhead bin,” the Reddit user wrote.

It was also claimed the man had four big bags in the overhead bins himself with footage showing him leaving the aircraft with several pieces of luggage.

The post has attracted more than 7000 “upvotes” and more than 1000 comments, with many quick to make fun of the man wanting to call the police following the flight attendant’s finger pointing.

“Hide yo kids hide yo wife and hide yo husband cause they pointing fingers at everybody up in here,” one person joked.

“That’s OUTRAGEOUS, just who does he think he is going round pointing at people,” wrote another.

“Hello police? Chris Paul pointed his finger at me,” added a third.

Meanwhile, one person thought it was “hilarious” the man “thought he could call the cops on the flight attendant for pointing a finger”.

“But didn’t realise that disrupting the flight or its crew could easily land him a federal record.”
