An influencer’s toddler, who has his own large social media following, has drowned in a hotel pool while she was sleeping.

A Malaysian influencer’s toddler, who has his own large social media following, has drowned in a hotel pool.

Jasmine Yong opened up about her two-year-old son Enzo’s death to her almost half a million followers on Instagram, sharing that her little boy wondered off while she and her husband, Lim Kong Wang, were sleeping.

The family of three had been staying at a hotel earlier this month in celebration of Mother’s Day.

“[We] woke up and he wasn’t there … and saw that the originally locked door of the indoor pool had been opened,” she wrote, according to an English translation.

Yong said she found her son in the pool, and despite giving CPR, he did not respond.

“We rushed to the hotel lobby with the baby and asked the hotel staff to help call an ambulance and help do first aid until the ambulance arrived,” she said.

She said he was treated in hospital and his heart started beating again, but he was in a coma.

A week ago, Yong shared Enzo was in an intensive care unit and asked for her followers to pray that he would “wake up quickly”.

She said she would explain what happened when he woke up, but sadly on the weekend she was instead sharing an explanation on his death.

The devastated mother said Enzo “worked hard until yesterday afternoon” when his heart stopped.

Enzo’s own Instagram account run by his parents has 100,000 followers.

Yong shared pictures of his memorial, which included a small casket and loved ones releasing balloons.
