As authorities continue the manhunt for Brian Laundrie, pictures of inside his bedroom have been revealed showing an insight into his lifestyle.

Gabby Petito’s death ruled a homicide

As police continue the manhunt for Brian Laundrie – and the public speculates wildly about his whereabouts – new documents reveal pictures inside the Laundrie family home.

FBI agents raided Mr Laundrie’s Florida bedroom on Monday, a day after Gabby Petito’s now-confirmed remains were found.

The search came a day before her death was ruled a homicide.

The bedroom shows some of Mr Laundrie’s possessions, including a Darth Vader mask, a violent piece of artwork and a collection of Watchmen comics.

Authorities discovered Ms Petito’s body on Sunday in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest, where FBI, National Parks and local law enforcement officials had been searching for the 22-year-old since last week. She was on a cross-country trip with her fiance Brian, 23, when she disappeared there.

“Teton County Coroner Dr Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999,” the FBI field office in Denver announced on Twitter on Tuesday.

“Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide,” the agency added. “The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.”

Mystery has been swirling around the Laundrie family after they went radio-silent on Tuesday when their legal team cancelled a press conference that was scheduled to take place in the wake of the FBI swarm.

After their home was officially declared a crime scene, Brian’s parents – Roberta, 55, and Chris, 62 – were seen being taken out of their home while investigators worked on collecting and tracking down evidence that might help explain their son’s sudden disappearance.

Search continues for ‘person of interest’

An ongoing search for Mr Laundrie has been focused on Carlton Reserve, after his family revealed their son went for a hike on Tuesday, September 14, and hasn’t been seen since.

Police have listed Mr Laundrie as a person of interest in the case. He has not been accused of any crime.

As of today, the fourth day of searching for him, North Port police have still been unable to locate Mr Laundrie.

In addition to the Carlton Reserve area north of Mr Laundrie’s home in North Port, authorities in Florida are also “actively” investigating deer camera footage that captured a hiker resembling the 23-year-old trekking through the wilderness.

Sam Bass said he spotted the man toting a backpack at 6.17am on Monday in the town of Baker, Florida, about 800km away from the Laundrie home.

“I’m not saying this is the guy but whoever was on my trail camera this morning in Baker strongly fits the description of Brian Laundrie,” Mr Bass wrote on Facebook.

“Authorities have been contacted but people in the northwest Florida area be on the lookout.”

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over Baker, confirmed that they were looking into the possible sighting.

Belongings strews through camper

Meanwhile, footage showing the inside of Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie’s van showed some of their belongings messily strewn throughout the back of the camper after they were stopped by police in Utah following a 911 report of a domestic incident.

The inside look into the couple’s van was captured on police body cameras outside Arches National Park near Moab on August 12 when officers encountered a sobbing Ms Petito.

The bodycam video offered a glimpse at the couple’s bags, bedding and other belongings scattered throughout the back of the van as officers spoke to Mr Laundrie.

The footage was vastly different from a video Ms Petito posted on YouTube days later on August 19 documenting the couple’s “van life journey”.

In that video, the van was cleared of clutter, pillows had been arranged and blankets were neatly folded. Their backpacks were nowhere to be seen.

It is unclear when Ms Petito filmed the footage inside the van.

Witness called 911

The police bodycam video emerged last week as the search for Ms Petito intensified.

A police report from the incident depicted Ms Petito as the aggressor, but it has since emerged that the person who called 911 claimed to have witnessed a man “slapping” a woman.

“We drove by and the gentleman was slapping the girl,” the caller said, according to new audio of the call that emerged on Monday.

The dispatcher responded, “He was slapping her?”

“Yes, and then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk, he proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off,” the caller replied.

Ms Petito, 22, was reported missing by her family on September 11 after Mr Laundrie, 23, returned home to Florida 10 days earlier.

A body believed to be Ms Petito’s was uncovered in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest on Sunday.

Police in Florida have spent the last few days searching for Mr Laundrie after his family revealed on Friday that they hadn’t seen him for three days after he set off on a hike.
