A young dad has died falling from a fifth-storey balcony in Brisbane, leaving behind a 16-month-old son he described as his “everything”.
Rashonn Armstrong-Reilly, 20, died on Sunday night in the tragic accident at Nomads hostel in the city’s CBD.
His aunt Nikita Bunter has set up a Go Fund Me page to raise money for funeral costs.
“His family has been left completely devastated,” she wrote, mentioning his young son Zerrakai and “beloved partner” Tiarne.
“Any help no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated,” Ms Bunter wrote.
On Wednesday morning, $4700 had been raised of a $10,000 goal.

Before Mr Armstrong-Reilly was identified, 7 News reported the man who died had dropped his phone and was trying to retrieve it when he fell to his death.
Police would not confirm to news.com.au if this was the case.
In a tribute on social media, a high school friend described Mr Armstrong-Reilly as “a barrel of laughs”.
“You had such a warm smile, your personally was huge but your heart was bigger,” Sarah Feekings wrote.
Emergency services were called to the Brisbane hostel at about 9.20pm on Sunday and paramedics treated Mr Armstrong-Reilly for critical injuries but he died at the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
The same day in Melbourne, a 26-year-old woman was critically injured after being hit by a rollercoaster.
Police and show organisers say Shylah Rodden was attempting to retrieve her phone which had fallen on the tracks at the base of the Rebel Coaster at the Royal Melbourne Show, but her family have disputed details in the investigation.
