‘Exhibitionist’ shot dead after allegedly masturbating at nudist beach
A 76-year-old man has been taken into custody for allegedly shooting a man after he masturbated in front of a naked woman at a nudist beach, police say.
A 76-year-old man has been taken into custody after allegedly shooting dead a suspected flasher who had pleasured himself in front of a naked woman on a French nudist beach, according to police.
On Saturday morning, a 46-year-old man was killed in front of hundreds of beachgoers at nudist beach La Mama in the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage, about 460km southeast of Paris, The Sun reports.
Witnesses described the victim as an “exhibitionist” who they claim had “insulted and threatened” beachgoers before “masturbating in front of a woman”, Le Parisien reports.

It is alleged that the suspected gunman, a frequent beach visitor and hunting enthusiast who had arrived there moments earlier, got into an argument with the alleged exhibitionist.
The 76-year-old, who has not been named, allegedly demanded the pair continue their fight elsewhere, but the 46-year-old man refused.
He then allegedly took out a hunting rifle and shot the younger man three times including at least once in the chest, witnesses told investigators.
The 46-year-old man died at the scene.
Police cycling nearby are believed to have heard the gunshots and rushed to the scene before closing the beach to visitors.
The suspected shooter was taken into custody and an investigation for intentional homicide has been opened.
Witnesses are currently being questioned by police.
France3 reports the alleged shooter is a hunting sportsman with a firearm licence.
This accreditation allows its holder to use and possess the firearm in a shooting club environment – but does not allow them to carry a firearm on public roads.
La Mama beach was officially signed for naturist use in 2007, legitimising the tradition of nudity in France – the world’s number one naturist destination.
