Delta Airlines flight diverted after woman goes into rage over reclined seat

AIR rage has once again forced a plane to land early. This time after a passenger became enraged after the person in front reclined their seat.

A WOMAN trying to catch a tray-table snooze on a Delta Airlines flight forced the plane to land early after she threw a curse-laden hissy fit because the woman in front of her reclined the seat.

New York Post reported that the infuriated passenger was on Flight 2370 out of New York’s LaGuardia airport on her way to Palm Beach International Airport on Monday night when she blew a midair gasket because the woman in front of her had interrupted her mile-high catnap.

Things escalated quickly as the furious flier began fuming at flight attendants.

On-board witness Aaron Klipin said the woman who reclined the seat was minding her own business when the ordeal went down.

“This woman sitting next to me knitting tried reclining her seat back, the woman behind her started screaming and swearing,” he told WPTV West Palm Beach.

“The flight attendant came over and that just exacerbated what was going on, and then she demanded that the flight land.”

Once attendants informed the pilots of the situation, an announcement was made letting passengers know the flight was being diverted to Jacksonville. Delta Airlines confirmed that the early landing was “due to safety reasons in regard to a passenger issue,” according to WPTV.

Klipin knew things were getting serious when the woman started making demands of the flight crew.

“She said something to the effect of, ‘I don’t care about the consequences, put this plane down now,’” he said. “The flight attendants went and spoke with the captain, while somebody was blocking her path to the cabin.”

The unruly traveller was guarded by a flight attendant until the plane touched down in Jacksonville, WPTV reports.

Police then escorted her off the plane.

Last month an American Airlines flight from Miami to Paris was forced to land in Boston because of a similar air rage incident.
