The family of five were inside the caravan when they heard their car start and felt the caravan beginning to move.
A caravan has been stolen while a family of five was inside.
The car and caravan were stolen from a Queensland caravan park about 380km west of Townsville on Monday night.
The family – a man, woman, and three children aged between six and 12 – were all inside the caravan at a Hughenden caravan park about 9.10pm when they heard their car start.
The caravan began to move and the family were able to get out as the vehicles were being driven off.
They were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The keys were reportedly stolen from the caravan earlier that afternoon.
The car and caravan have both been found by police; however, investigations remain ongoing.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
