An Australian family has revealed the final moments of their beloved grandfather before he died in a tragic accident while on holiday in Bali.

A family-of-three is mourning their beloved grandfather after he died in a horrific biking accident while on holiday in Bali.

Bernard Daniel Frit, 73, was found lifeless in Bangli Village, east Bali, at around 1.40pm on Thursday.

Local police reported that Bernard lost control of his bike and collapsed beside the road.

He was discovered unconscious and rushed to the Baturiti 1 Public Health Facility, where he was declared dead shortly after arrival.

“The medical team at the health facility explained that there is no sign of violence on the victim’s body,” a police spokesman said.

“There are only several bruises on his forehead and nose.”

“RIP Poppa... we miss you so much,” she wrote, sharing touching images of Bernard holding his young granddaughter Charis and reading her a bedtime story.

Catherine revealed that one of the photos of her and her daughter was taken by Bernard just “minutes” before his death.

“What Poppa took a few mins before – I can’t,” she wrote.

Bernard’s body has been taken to Dharma Tadnya funeral home in Denpasar, about 25km south of the Tabanan Regency.
