Airport workers make ‘shocking’ find in tourist’s stomach

Airport workers have made a “shocking” discovery in tourist’s stomach following a routine inspection.

Man charged with trafficking 120kg of cocaine into NSW

A shocking X-ray shows how the stomach of an arrested flyer bound for London was full of cocaine.

Police officers caught six travellers red-handed as they tried to board a commercial flight to the capital.

The three men and three women, aged 20 to 28, were seized at Galeão Airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

They were taken to hospital and by the Sunday morning, they had collectively expelled 629 capsules.

The capsules, which were full of cocaine, were seized by the authorities, as reported on NeedToKnow.

At the time of reporting four of the six suspects remained in hospital.

When they have expelled all the remaining capsules inside them, they will be remanded into custody.

The Federal Police say the suspects will be charged with transnational drug trafficking.

If found guilty, they each face up to 15 years behind bars.

Their identities are withheld.
