Travel Deal Tuesday: Fly to Europe for less than $330 per person
That holiday on the other side of the world isn’t a pipe dream. And these cheap flights don’t come with a nasty catch.
Just when you thought you’d missed out on a cheap flight to Europe this year to embrace their long summer days, along comes a deal so jaw-dropping it changes everything.
Scoot has just launched its “Got to Go” sale, including flights from Australia to Europe from just $309.
As part of this week’s Travel Deal Tuesday, news.com.au has found five of the best bargains from the upcoming Scoot sale that will have you packing your bags and on a holiday in no time.
FLY TO ATHENS FROM $309
The $309 fares will get you from Perth to Athens, and are only available for select dates between now and June, as well as mid-July until mid September and also when travelling between 8th October and 30th November 2019. All flights are via Singapore.
Fares from east coast Australia — Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne — start from $319 with the same travel dates.
While Athens is the standout fare, Scoot is also spruiking deals across its network, including a pretty incredible deal to Berlin.
FLY TO BERLIN FROM $309
For the same fare as Athens, you could be on a flight to Berlin from just $309 when travelling from Perth, and $319 from the east coast — including the Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne. All flights are via Singapore.
FLY TO THE MALDIVES FROM $189
If you thought a trip to the Maldives was only for cashed up honeymooners — think again. You can now get there for less than $200 during select dates between now and late November.
If you’re flying from Perth, you can nab a seat from $189, or $209 from the Gold Coast. If you’re travelling from Melbourne or Sydney — you’ll fork out just under $220 one way. All flights are via Singapore.
FLY TO SINGAPORE FROM $129
The cheapest rate from the “Got to Go” sale is a flight to Singapore, where you can grab a pretty incredible rate to Changi Airport for less than $130 from Perth.
Singapore, which has just opened the incredible $1.78 billion ‘Jewel’ terminal is worthy of a stop on its own, but the various Hawker food halls, Gardens by the Bay and a drink at the Marina Bay Sands rooftop are all worth the journey.
If you’re flying from Sydney or Melbourne, a one-way ticket will cost you $159, while a flight from the Gold Coast will cost you $10 less.
FLY TO PHUKET FROM $139
Feel like keeping a winter break a little closer to home? You can book a trip to Thailand for less than $180 from Sydney and Melbourne, or just $139 from Perth. However, with the travel dates falling on selected dates between June and November, you might want to pack a raincoat — because Monsoon season begins mid-May and goes on till October.
Before booking, it’s worthwhile noting that all sale fares are per way and don’t include checked luggage or food, but do include up to 10kg carry-on luggage and all taxes.
You’ll have to leap into action quickly, as all travel must be completed before June 30, or between July 15-September 20, 2019 and October 8-November 30, 2019 (some blackout periods apply).
The “Got to Go” sale will kick off at 12pm (AEST) on Monday 20th May 2019.
