P Plater blasted for parking Audi horizontally across Sydney street

Members of the public had some choice words for a P-plate driver who parked their Audi in an unbelievable position on a narrow Sydney road.

Safer P platers road safety campaign

A P-plate driver who left their flashy Audi parked in the middle of a Sydney road has been delivered some hard truths by peeved drivers enraged by their horrible technique.

The silver Audi with red P-plates was captured on Wednesday afternoon in Darlinghurst, east of Sydney’s CBD, parked almost completely horizontally across a narrow road.

Puzzling images shared to Twitter by 7 News journalist Matthew Karstunen showed the vehicle – parked on Royston Street – with two cranky notes on it.

“And the worst parking in Sydney today goes to this P-plate driver,” Mr Karstunen wrote.

One note, written in capital letters in black texta, told the Audi driver: “you are a sh** parker”.

The other, written on a torn off piece of cardboard and also in capital letters, read: “this is not how to park you fu**ing moron”.

The strong message had been underlined three times for added effect.

Mr Karstunen said neither had been written by him.

He later revealed the car, which left a tiny space for others to pass through, was still in the same compromising position late into the evening.

While most respondents were equally as shocked at the poor skill level, a few suggested there may have earlier been cars either side of the Audi, which would have made for a less jarring sight.

“There was definitely a car on the left side and behind the driver. But since both cars have left, it looks that this car has parked in the wrong spot,” one wrote.

Others were less forgiving, with one replying: “Let’s pray they’re sterile’.

“Someone had a big night,” another said.
