Streamer and adult entertainer Adriana Chechik, who broke her back at TwitchCon after leaping into a foam pit that the official organisers claimed was safe, has claimed that she had to terminate her pregnancy as a result of the injury.

Chechik injured herself while competing in a live-action event at TwitchCon called Twitch Rivals, where two streamers stand on a small platform and try to knock each other off with foam bats.

The surrounding area was filled with foam blocks, but the distance between the platforms and the solid concrete was only approximately two feet, with no protective cushioning.

After her event, she was encouraged to jump into the foam pit, and when she did, she landed on solid concrete with no cushioning, causing her spine to become “completely crushed”.

She has since had multiple surgeries and is on the road to recovery, posting updates frequently on her social media feeds.

Chechik discovered she was pregnant after being admitted to the hospital. She returned to streaming earlier this week, showing off the scars of her multiple surgeries and explaining the terminated pregnancy.

“I don’t care, everyone’s going to know, but I was pregnant and I didn’t find out until I was in the hospital,” Chechik said on the stream.

“I’m not pregnant anymore because of the surgery. I couldn’t keep it. But my hormones are also through the f***ing roof because of that.”

Speaking about her recovery, she’s pushing through it: “I’m out of breath if you can’t tell. I’m already out of breath. I get out of breath holding my phone, everything. But they did an amazing job. The stitches were inside.”
