Text messages shown on-stream reveal the extent of the alleged abuse as her husband threatened to fritter away money if she didn’t call him immediately.

And her husband apparently threatened to throw her possessions outside and to “blast the cash” in a string of texts laden with typos.

He later complained about one of her streams and threatened to send her horse Kyran to the “meat packing house” when she didn’t answer her phone.

“Lag is terrible this stream is garbage,” a thread of messages sent to Amouranth read.

“I’m about to delete twitter in 30 seconds. If no call. 34,000 gone. Gona donate $250k to PALOMACY in next 2 mins. $250k gone. I will donate 500k in 3 mins. The allegations of abuse were revealed in a clip circulating on social media that shows the top female Twitch streamer in tears during a phone call with her husband. Previously, she had never disclosed she was married.

Amouranth said her husband had told her not to reveal she was married in order to make more money from the “hot tub” meta on Twitch.

The American woman is one of the world’s most popular streamers and is known for popularising the controversial hot tub Twitch category that involves scantily clad women chatting with viewers.

It’s a lucrative job and Amouranth makes at least $133,000 every month from subscribers and donations.

She also reportedly earns about $1 million a month from Onlyfans and receives income of $18,000 a month from Patreon, $17,000 from Fansly, $10,000-$25,000 on Instagram and $5000 to $15,000 on Twitter.

She revealed last year that she had purchased a petrol station for $6 million (US$4 million).

‘One of the top Twitch streamers in the world’

The gaming community has banded together to support Amouranth after she went public with the allegations.

“Amouranth is an absolute champion for being able to put up with so much abuse from people online and in her personal life as well,” Irish YouTuber Seán “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin wrote on social media.

“The mental fortitude needed is incredible.

“A lot of really gross reactions to it online too. Not that hard to be a decent human being.”

Streamer PrismaticKitsune wrote: “Amouranth has been careful about her personal life for years. Last night, revealed she was married to an abuser as he screamed down the phone & threatened her.

“This s**t ain’t fake, it’s a cry for help.

“If you are more offended she’s married than being abused, get help.”

Streamer Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter defended Amouranth after comments were posted criticising Amouranth for misleading her viewers about her marriage status.

“It’s disgusting seeing the internet continue to invalidate and dehumanise victims of abuse.

“What Amouranth has been trapped in is very real.. especially having joint accounts, married, dealing with threats, etc. I hope she gets the freedom and relief any human in abuse deserves.”

American video game developer Brianna Wu wrote: “For fellow people over 35, Amouranth is one of the top Twitch streamers in the world.

“And in my opinion, is subjected to a level of degradation and abuse that would make most of us leave public life forever.”

Journalist Zach Bussey wrote: “Oof... I really hope Amouranth is okay.

“This s**t is way too common for too many, and shows that even having financial resources doesn’t make it any easier to escape abusive relationships. I hope this cry for help is answered by people around her!”

Fellow Twitch star Alinity reportedly contacted police to ask for a welfare check on Amouranth but was told that police could not provide information about her wellbeing.

This morning Amouranth wrote on Twitter, “Someone called cops, be back later.”
