THE TRAINER
GREG LESNIKOWSKI
STURGIS (Race 4)
"His last four runs have been pretty good and he's showing every sign that he wants 2500m. We'll test him over the ground and see how he finishes it off. He can certainly handle the soft.
WHY NOT YOU (Race 6)
"She never really got into the race last start. I think the soft ground (today) brings her right into it.
WAPPING (Race 8)
"He's a genuine horse and he'll put himself right into the race. From that barrier (eight) it might suit to get a sit just off the speed. He's certainly capable of finishing the race off.
SCOTTY SAYS
PSYCHIC MICK
(Morphettville, Race 7)
He's had a run under his belt and will improve off that. He's drawn the outside but that might work to his advantage, because with the track rated a Heavy 9, that's where they'll all want to be.

FINAL COMMAND
(Morphettville, Race 3)
Enormous effort in the Balaklava Cup. Dropped back to last after drawing an outside gate and swept around the big field, storming home to finish just 1.3 lengths behind the winner Gris Caro. This is a much easier assignment.
BEST HERE
DEBEERSONUS
(Morphettville, Race 8)
Racing in terrific form and looks well placed here. Handles a wet track and gets in well with Jake Toeroek's 3kg claim. Ready to win again.
BEST ANYWHERE
FAST 'N' ROCKING
(Rosehill, Race 7)
Despite an outstanding win last start, he seems the forgotten horse of the Golden Rose. The step up to 1400m suits perfectly and the stable is very confident. Looks well over the odds.
