Shayno: Hello Mitchy! Missile Stakes can only mean one thing; the good horses are back. That said, without being too harsh, it’s not a vintage edition of the race. Arctic Glamour to sit back and have last look here for me. You?

Mitch: Hey Shayno. I tried my best to find something with a bit more value but ended up coming back to the favourite, Schwarz. I am convinced he’s the best horse in this race, he just needs a bit of luck from an awkward gate to win. I couldn’t take $2.20 mind you.

Shayno: The Premier’s Cup Prelude is, in a word, fascinating. What about this Lloyd Williams/Kris Lees horse Changingoftheguard! It ran fifth in an English Derby! Even so, I like how Aramco sneaks in here with a light weight and Kerrin McEvoy.

Mitch: It’s been more than a year since Changingoftheguard’s last run and double that since his last win so I am happy to leave him out. I am with you on Aramco. He’s a horse still on the up and knows how to win.

Shayno: The Highway is a good one again this week. I know a bit about Gundy Guy having watched him from the start. He’s Highway grade every day of the week.

Mitch: If we had bingo cards, you talking up the Highway would get a tick every week. Todd Smart has saved Gundy Guy from a midweek assignment for this and I am glad he did. He’s recent trials tells me he’s in for a great prep.

Shayno: Are you Our Kobison or Dancing Alone or something else? I couldn’t go past Our Kobison. I love that he is a winner. I love James McDonald’s record on him and for the trainer Angela Davies. I don’t love the draw but this is Randwick 1000m so should be okay.

Mitch: I talked to Angela during the week and she reckons punters will notice Our Kobison still wearing his winter coat this weekend – but he’s still ready to win. I am with him but only via split decision. Dancing Alone is a stakes class horse herself.

Shayno: One other clash I am looking forward to (not that it is a two-horse race) is my pick Anahita up against the NZ 1000 Guineas placed kiwi, Tulsi.

Mitch: Tipping Lonrioli can knock them both off third up from a spell.
