INVITATIONS

Race 2, No.1

Reckon this filly is packed with class but we haven’t seen the best of her yet. Looked as though she needed the run at Newcastle but still got home. Expecting her to win here and go to Brisbane and be competitive in stakes races.

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (The Daily Telegraph)

LOFIEL

Race 5, No.3

Trained locally by David Vandyke, this mare just missed when photo second over 1500m at Rosehill in February. Led throughout when scoring over 1400m at this track on March 19 and has been freshened-up for this assignment. Drawn beautifully here and will give them plenty to chase again.

SEYMOUR

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun)

CORAM

Race 6, No.6

Has been luckless at his past two starts. Has plenty of ability and should break through in this.

SUNSHINE COAST

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin)

PANTALETTES

Race 9, No.5

TEARS

Race 10, No.8

No good things but both of these look over the odds in early markets. Pantalettes won first-up and she generally improves second-up. The step up to 1350m won’t bother her, while Tears, who is also at double figures in race 10, has had no luck of late and should get across from the wide draw and settle in the first few.

BALAKLAVA

LINOLN MOORE (The Advertiser)

ROCKET COMMANDER

Race 8, No.8

Good win at Strathalbyn three starts back and will appreciate the drop back in class here.

Had a tricky gate, got back and made good late ground behind Ample On Offa two starts back before again getting back and making ground behind Ondina in the Laelia last time.

Drawn well, has Paul Gatt in the saddle and gets her chance to bounce back.

BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser)

COOL HERO

Race 6, No.8

This Richard Jolly-trained filly has shown plenty of talent in her brief career and raced competitively in Melbourne last campaign. She wasn’t that far away first-up at Morphettville as favourite and this looks a perfect opportunity for her to bounce back into the winner’s list.
