CANTERBURY
NIC ASHMAN (The Daily Telegraph)
WINE ’N’ DINE
Race 5, No. 2
For mine, this bloke looks a genuine BM 70-75 horse. Can the rest of these say the same?
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (The Daily Telegraph)
QUEEN OF KARIBA
Race 4, No. 2
One could not help but be impressed by the way this mare hit the line to score over this course and distance on May 27. She was near last on the bend but wove between horses to win running away on the line. Rises 2kg here but that won’t be enough to stop this John Sargent-trained mare from rounding out a winning double.
JOHN DAVIS (The Daily Telegraph)
QUEEN OF KARIBA
Race 4, No. 2
Queen Of Kariba swamped rivals at this course and distance to score running away last time. She was scratched from the Rosehill meeting on Monday to be saved for this and that’s as good a pointer as any.
FLEMINGTON
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun)
ZAKAYLA
Race 7, No. 7
Has looked top class winning both of her starts this campaign. Likely to prove too good again.
GAWLER
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser)
ALYSIANA
Race 5, No. 8
This mare is now with leading SA trainer Phillip Stokes after showing promise in Melbourne for Leon and Troy Corstens. She won a trial at Morphettville late last month and looks primed to break her maiden status at her 17th start.
