Man questioned after death of woman in Perth’s CBD
A man is being questioned over the death of a woman in a CBD in the early hours of the morning, with police treating it as a homicide.
A man is being questioned following the death of a 24-year-old woman in Perth’s CBD.
Homicide squad detectives believe the woman, who was visiting Perth from regional Western Australia, was assaulted.
The woman was found on Wellington St, near Pier St, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
She had been socialising with a group of people at Yagan Square, including a man she was in a domestic relationship with, police said.
There were no obvious signs of injury.
“Police and St John Ambulance WA were called to the location just before 3am,” police said in a statement.
“Paramedics provided first aid to the woman but sadly she was unable to be revived.
“A man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.”
