Horror on Victorian roads as three killed in six hours

Three people are dead and another is fighting for their life after two separate car crashes in a horror night on the state’s roads.

It’s been a horror night on Victorian roads with three people dying in two accidents.

The driver of a car died in an accident at Strathtulloh on Melbourne’s outskirts late on Saturday night.

Emergency services raced to the scene just after 11.30pm after a car crashed into a fence on Alfred Road.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene, with the cause of the crash to be investigated.

In a separate incident, two people died and another is fighting for their life after a crash at Mooroopna North, just outside of Shepparton.

The car struck a pole on Ardmona Road just after 6pm.

Two of the people in the car died after the scene while a third was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.

The cause of the crash is also being investigated.
