Police have appealed for the public’s assistance after more than $20,000 in hair products was stolen from a Melbourne salon.
Police said thieves broke into a hairdresser on Overton Lea Bvd in Sydenham at about 10:45pm on November 14.
They said two men broke into the salon armed with storage crates before leaving with approximately $25,000 in hair products.
On October 27 the same business was targeted by thieves, with police investigating any possible link.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
The appeal for information comes as police seek help in identifying a man they say can help their investigation into an armed robbery at Deer Park on Boxing Day.
They said a man armed with a knife attended a service station on Ballarat Rd about 2am, where he pulled out a concealed knife from his jumper after engaging the shop attendant in conversation.
The attendant handed over cash from the till after he was threatened with his life, police said.
