Heartless thieves ruin charity’s Christmas plans
Christmas plans of a charity in Melbourne’s southeast have received a big setback after thieves stole donated gifts.
A charity’s Christmas plans have been sabotaged after heartless thieves stole gifts in Melbourne’s southeast.
An early-morning break-in has sparked a hunt for two men who allegedly stole the gifts from a charitable organisation in Firth Close at Carrum Downs about 2am on Wednesday.
The thieves allegedly broke into a storage area where donated new and unused Christmas presents were being kept and stole a number of items, including bicycles, fishing rods and make-up.
Police have released CCTV images of two men they believe can help with their inquiries.
One of the men was wearing a face mask, cap and hooded top. He was carrying a large backpack and rode a bicycle.
The other man was wearing white runners and an Adidas jacket.
Police have urged anyone who recognises the pair or has information about the theft to contact Crime Stoppers.
