14-year-old boy charged after boy allegedly robbed, pushed from car in Melbourne’s east
A 14-year-old boy has been charged over a violent armed robbery outside Glen Huntly College earlier this week a teenage boy of the same age.
Police have charged a 14-year-old boy on bail for other offences over an armed robbery outside Glen Huntly College earlier this week where a teenage boy of the same age was allegedly abducted outside a Melbourne school.
Police allege a 14-year-old boy was confronted by unknown offenders in a Volkswagen Tiguan on Monday afternoon.
The teen was forced into the vehicle at about 2.35pm, driven along Neerim Road, police allege.
Police are yet to confirm how the boy left the car, though he received significant injuries.
However, it has been reported that he was allegedly pushed from the car as it moved.
Benjamin remains in a serious condition.
Police confirmed early Friday morning that they had arrested the 14-year-old Frankston South boy in Frankston yesterday afternoon, and he has been charged with a number of offences, including armed robbery, robbery, conduct endangering life, intentionally causing serious injury, theft of motor vehicle, theft, possess controlled weapon, commit indictable offence on bail and numerous other offences.
He will appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
The victim’s father expressed shock that teenagers were allegedly behind the brutal attack.
“It’s really sad what happened … we haven’t slept for days,” he told the Herald Sun.
“I can’t believe this has happened. (My son is) a really good kid (that is) really smart.”
The victim’s parents have been keeping a bedside vigil at the Royal Children’s Hospital, where their son is being treated for head and abdominal injuries.
They say they are desperate to know what exactly happened to their son before he was thrown from the car.
“We want lots of parents and kids to come out because we want the police to catch these people,” the dad said.

“I hope someone can come forward with some footage because this was on a main road.
“We hope someone can send pictures (of anyone involved) to police.”
Two other students from Glen Eira Secondary College, aged 14 and 16, also reported being targeted in a similar manner on the same day as the teen’s attack.
“I just want to wake him up,” the teen’s mother added.
“The bone inside the ear is cracked, and the blood is still coming out of the ear right now.”
Police say Investigators are searching for others believed to have been involved and are investigating if the matter is linked to other incidents in the area.
Appearing on 3AW with Neil Mitchell on Wednesday, Victoria Police Inspector Scott Dwyer said two more boys from the same school had since come forward alleging they were also abducted on the same day.
“The concerning part for me is that there have been some silent victims,” Inspector Dwyer said, adding the two boys, aged between 14 and 16, had not suffered serious physical injuries in the attack.
“They have suffered like this other boy, maybe not to the level of injuries that he has, but have not reported it to their parents or the police.”
Inspector Dwyer said there was “every chance” more victims would come forward.
“Obviously, the investigation has broadened a little,” he said.
Inspector Dwyer said the investigation was an “absolute priority” for the police.
“(It is) sickening, it’s confronting,” he said.
“The issue is we live in a really safe city, and when incidents like this are reported, it is rightfully shocking.
“But as with all crime, there will be a response to it.”
Inspector Dwyer said he was “100 per cent” sure the offenders would be caught.
