POLICE have moved their search for missing Ulverstone man Noel Joseph Ingham to an isolated area outside Railton.

Investigators said information from the public had led them to a site off Railton Rd, near Quicksand Rd, and evidence connected to Mr Ingham had been found.

It followed a search of the Ulverstone tip, where evidence was also unearthed by police.
“Police are not yet in a position to release details of what was located,” Detective Dave Chapman said.
“It is hoped that further investigation in the Railton Rd area will uncover further evidence.”
Police are in contact with the missing 58-year-old’s family in Queensland.
“His siblings and children have the right to know what happened to their loved one,” Detective Chapman said.
The last recorded sighting of Mr Ingham was on July 22 this year, when he visited his doctor.
Police were alerted by a government department that he was a missing person on October 4.
