Southern Expressway reopens after truck rollover
Delays on the Southern Expressway have eased six hours after a truck carrying cement rolled over while turning onto Main South Rd.
Commuters in Adelaide's south have been spared further delays after crews finished clearing a cement truck that rolled over on the Southern Expressway.
The truck rolled over just before 6.30am today in Hackham while turning from the Southern Expressway onto Main South Rd.
Just one lane was open heading south during the peak, with police advising motorists to exit on Beach Rd at Christies Beach to avoid delays.
About five hours later, the expressway was closed from Beach Rd to Main South Rd for the arduous clean-up task, which involved emptying the truck's load before it could be moved.
The South Australian Environment Protection Authority was notified of the incident but did not attend the scene.
Citybound traffic remained unaffected and no one was injured.
