Police said a small hydroponic cannabis crop was discovered after the fire, however, the exact cause of the blaze remains unknown.
"Police also found that electricity had been illegally diverted at the property," a spokesman said.
HOME DESTROYED IN RIDGEHAVEN
In a separate fire just hours earlier, a home in the neighbouring suburb of Ridgehaven was destroyed after a towel left on an electric bar heater sparked a destructive blaze.
Firefighters were sent to the Jordan St home about 2.30am today.
All occupants evacuated, but one woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The home was destroyed, leaving a damage bill of about $150,000.
The incident has prompted the MFS to issue a warning to householders about heater safety.
"The MFS would like to remind the public to keep any items that can burn well clear of any heaters and fires," a spokeswoman said.
"Clearance from clothes, bedding, furniture, curtains and other combustibles ideally should be at least two metres from any heater."
