Two men have been arrested after their allegedly stolen car ran out of petrol in Adelaide's south. Meanwhile, police are searching for a knife-wielding man who robbed a West Lakes pub.
Two men who allegedly tried to speed away from police have been arrested after their stolen car ran out of petrol.
Police spotted a Holden Commodore on Cross Rd in South Plympton just after 5am today.
Checks revealed the car was stolen from Woodville South.
It is alleged the driver, a 27-year-old man from Edwardstown, tried to speed away from the patrol on Anzac Hwy, but the car ran out of petrol and came to a spluttering stop just past Marion Rd.
He remained in the car, while his 29-year-old male passenger ran away.
Patrols cordoned off the area before Police Dog Jax tracked the passenger to the front yard of a house on Lincoln Ave. He was allegedly found with a mask.
The 29-year-old, from Kidman Park, has been charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and going equipped to commit an offence, while the driver was charged with illegal use and driving while disqualified.
Both men are expected to be bailed to appear in court at a later date.
KNIFE-WIELDING MAN ROBS WEST LAKES PUB
A man is on the run after robbing a western Adelaide pub with a knife on Monday night.
Police say the man, wearing a blue beanie and white gloves, entered the pub's gaming room on Bartley Tce in West Lakes just after 9.30pm.
He then threatened staff with a knife before stealing cash.
The suspect, who fled the scene on foot, is described as caucasian.
He was also wearing white sneakers with black laces, a black zip-up hoodie, light jeans, and a black satchel bag.
Police are still searching for the man.
