A man has been arrested over the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

A man has been arrested over the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

The 18-year-old Salisbury North man is being interviewed by police and is expected to be charged with sexual assault-related offences.

His arrest comes after a 15-year-old girl claimed she was grabbed by a man while walking on International Ave in Salisbury North just before 2.30pm on Sunday.

Police say the incident is not random and the girl and man are known to each other.

Reports of a white van being involved in the incident have been ruled out by investigators.
