A townhouse has been destroyed in a fire at Blakeview, but no injuries have been reported.
A townhouse has been destroyed in a fire at Blakeview.
Emergency services rushed to Village Tce just before midday on Monday to find flames engulfing the two-storey unit.
No one was home at the time.
The fire was believed to have started outside the unit near the veranda and spread to the awning on the roof.
Firefighters took 23 minutes to get the blaze under control.
The property sustained $400,000 of smoke and water damage after an internal water pipe ruptured during the fire.
Village Tce is blocked and will remain so for some time while fire crews extinguish the fire.
Detectives and fire-cause investigators attended the scene.
Meanwhile, about 1.20pm, MFS crews were sent to a house on James St at Gilberton after a fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was not deemed suspicious.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
