Blair Thomas gets marching orders on The Bachelor
SIMMERING tensions between two Queensland contestants on The Bachelor have exploded, with one of them being shown the door.
BOOTED Bachelor contestant Blair Thomas said simmering tensions with fellow Queenslander Romy Poulier reached breaking point in Wednesday night’s episode of the reality dating show.
The Gold Coast sports teacher, who was eliminated, stood by her decision to rat out Poulier, whom she overhead talking down fellow contender Cass Wood to Nick Cummins’ sister.
“Watching it back Cat, Romy and Alisha had a lot more arguments that aren’t shown, and I had two other arguments with Romy,” the 27-year-old told Confidential.
“There was a lot more bitchy remarks about other people which worked me up to confront her.
“She turned around and said to me ‘it was a private conversation’ and I just said ‘I don’t know how you can think its private when it’s a television show.’ ”
Thomas said the pair had locked horns after a previous cocktail party, where she accused Poulier of stealing her idea to get close to Cummins.
“Kids at school give me flowers all the time, so I thought I’d show him something from one of the kids and give him a flower,” she said.
“I told her what I was going to do… because she was one of my friends. Romy decided to steal my idea and she gave him a flower.
“I had not spoken to (Cummins) since the red carpet. That was it for two weeks.”
Having not had any significant time with Cummins, Thomas was sent home from The Bachelor mansion and says she is still waiting for the right bachelor.
“Maybe if we did get time it could have worked but it’s hard to say when you don’t get much time,” she said.
“I did speak to Nick that night and just the vibe I was getting from him… I remember going and telling the girls and saying look I’m definitely going home tonight.”
Thomas added that she felt sorry for Wood, who she said was “just an anxious, worried person”.
“That’s not just with Nick but we are only seeing the parts with Nick, so I feel sorry for her because she’s not a crazy psychopath at all. She’s a really lovely girl.”
