Police investigating shocking public sex act caught on video

Sydneysiders were just trying to enjoy their lunch at the pub when they witnessed a couple’s daring sex act on a public bench.

Obscene sex act

Video has captured the shocking moment a woman pulled down a man’s pants to perform a sex act in the middle of a busy Sydney shopping precinct.

Diners couldn’t believe their eyes as the incident unfolded before them on a public bench at Springfield Ave, Potts Point.

One person in the video, taken from a nearby pub, can be heard saying “what the f**k?”, while another added “what’s going on?” in disbelief.

NSW Police confirmed it was investigating the incident, which is believed to have taken place on the Australia Day public holiday on January 26.

Anyone with information is urged to contact crime stoppers.

In NSW it is illegal to “wilfully and obscenely expose his or her person” in a public place under the Summary Offences Act.

It carries a maximum penalty of 10 penalty units ($1100) or six months imprisonment.

The couple’s daring sex act was not the only bizarre moment – with a lack of clothing involved – captured in Sydney recently.

A 48-year-old man was charged on Monday for wilful and obscene exposure after security footage showed him casually walking into Edgecliff BP naked, and using his phone at the counter to pay for petrol.

The video was posted online showing the man wearing nothing but a pair of thongs and sunglasses.
