Innocent Valentine’s toy attracts viral attention for awkward detail

A plush doughnut Valentine’s Day toy has sparked a huge reaction online over a cheeky detail that has left thousands of consumers in stitches.

A collective eyebrow has been raised over a suspicious detail in an otherwise entirely innocent Valentines toy.

The unsuspecting plush doughnut toy attracted viral attention recently, but not just because it would make an adorable gift for a loved one on February 14.

While its designer made obvious effort to include signature doughnut colours, they also – seemingly by accident – perfectly matched its centre with a human bottom.

The standout feature of the Russ branded novelty item, which can be purchased online or from US retailers Target and CVS, has left consumers in stitches over the striking resemblance.

One woman shared an image of the product to Twitter, writing: “I think this is supposed to be a doughnut, but…”.

She was far from alone in her cheeky observation, with many others also joking about the centre of the product’s likeness to an anus.

“So much going on there that can be misunderstood,” someone replied.

“Judging from the colour in the centre, it appears to be full of chocolate,” another wrote.

A message sewn into the toy didn’t do much to settle any confusion, with it reading: “I luv u a hole lot”.

It was however plausible the Valentines toy was purposely designed to have the appearance of both a bottom and doughnut.

Thousands of others joined in on the gaff on Reddit, where a photo of the doughnut was also shared.

“Might’ve gotten away with it too if it didn’t look SO much like an anus,” one wrote in a comment.

Many argued the product had been designed to appear similar to a private part on purpose.

“They knew, otherwise it would be ‘whole’,” one wrote.

“Someone thought long and hard about this,” another said.

“Either they are geniuses or they screwed up in multiple ways with this,” a third wrote.
